Who are the 'Somerton Gardeners Club'?
• Somerton Gardeners' Club is open to everyone - members and nonmembers
alike.
• Our annual subscription is £12 per year. Guests/visitors are welcome
to attend meetings for a £3 fee per evening.
What are the benefits?
• Annual membership entitles you to free entry to all meetings.
• Overt Locke, Kelways Garden Centre, Tinhouse Home and Garden
Antiques and Sweet Acre Nursery (Glastonbury), offer 10% discount
on production our membership card. Members also enjoy 25%
discount on specific shopping events at Brimsmore and Castle Garden
Centres.
Meetings are friendly and informal with the intention of sharing our
enjoyment of gardening, to learn, via our guest speakers, how to
widen our knowledge and appreciation of our natural environment.
What do we do?
Each May we hold a Plant Sale.
During the summer months we plan visits to local gardens of interest
including Coach Trips to gardens/shows further afield.
Toward the end of summer, we stage the annual Somerton Flower,
Veg and Craft Show, open to members and non-members to exhibit
produce and plants they have grown and a cross section of home
made items.
We would like to say a huge thank you to our sponsors and advertisers
for their support and help to make the show a success. (see back page
for list).
Finally, thank you for your support and we hope you enjoy taking part or
viewing the exhibits.
May we take this opportunity to extend a warm welcome to you to join us at our
monthly meetings at the Edgar Hall, Somerton 7.30pm:
